Nando’s: sourcing a new range of takeaway packaging for the UK and Ireland business. Supplier selection, due diligence and contract negotiation. Supporting the implementation of the new range into restaurants. Working with the Nando’s UK technical, procurement and logistics teams throughout the project.
Bourne Leisure: project management of a cross functional internal team and external specialists, to implement allergen management control and supply chain due diligence across all food and drinks categories. The successful project resulted in the procurement, food development and technical teams now collaborating to deliver higher food safety and due diligence standards, and a relaunched allergen management system.
Whitbread: working with the procurement and logistics teams to support a group wide (Premier Inn, Costa Coffee and Whitbread restaurants) supply chain strategic review and leading the tendering process for the contract to provide all food and consumables distribution to stores. This is one of the largest food service distribution contracts in the UK, and also included working on the implementation team to decentralise milk distribution to a local model.
IPC Europe (Procurement for Subway): feasibility study into alternative supply chain options for fresh produce supply. A detailed report providing options and recommendations was produced, followed by a market approach to investigate options further.
Cream’s Cafe: leading a review of the supply chain for all food, drinks and restaurant consumables categories to enable a robust and cost-effective procurement and distribution platform to support the business growth. This included an assessment of the market for food distribution partners and leading the tendering and implementation of a new contract for an estate of 100 stores in the UK.
Wahaca: feasibility project for the further centralisation of recipe preparation for all restaurants to improve consistency and reduce labour impact on site. Negotiation and implementation of a new contract for the main food and drink distribution to all restaurants.
Bleecker Burger: category review and tender of the fresh vegetable supply chain.
Benson’s the Juicers: exploring the restaurant sector for this high quality, high provenance juice brand resulting in a detailed report providing opportunities for Benson’s to grow sales and market share.
Prestige Purchasing: working as an associate to the largest independent provider of procurement services to the food service sector in the UK. Supporting a number of projects with clients across the restaurant and catering sectors. Accountable for project management and stakeholder relationships.
Casella Family Brands: exploring the on-trade sector for this leading Australian wine business, including an analysis of the main on-trade operators and identification of opportunities for their portfolio.
ProProcure: advisory and consultancy support to the business to test ideas, plans and approaches for extending the reach of the Geneus eMarketplace solution into the food service sector. This included identifying the main opportunity for Geneus in this market and facilitating introductions.
